BobRyan: Darwin admitted that the true understanding of Evolutionism is not compatible with Christianity.Bravus has recently admitted that his embrace of evolutionism along with some other “progressive notions” is not compatible with the published doctrines of the Seventh-day Adventist church — as you saw in his statement in that link.Obviously both of those guys are correct in their conclusions about compatible vs nothing-of-the-sort.in Christ,Bob

Bob, If only the many other SDA
“intellectuals” would be as honest as Bravus now is and leave the SDA Church, so we can place those who actually believe and follow God’s Truth in the leadership positions the others now occupy.

Any volunteers?!

Hope? Slim to none
Most do not want to admit that God started it. He said He did. Is He lying?

Hope? Slim to none

Lydian: Would someone please explain to me where the seven-day week came from? The only reason for it that I know of is Genesis 1. That these were literal, 24 hour days is shown by God saying “the evening and the morning were the 1st day, the evening and the morning were the 2nd day–and so on. As I recall there have been a few attempts to change the number of days in the weekly cycle but all have failed. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

I’ve done some research on this topic, and nobody really knows why. Oh, I forgot–the Bible tells us why. I guess we believers DO know!

Is trying to field a competetive basketball team another way La Sierra is trying to recruit secular students? I mention this because their mens basketball team just got walloped again today (Sunday) after being beaten handily by the previous teams it has faced so far this year.

Does La Sierra have sports scholarships?

What exactly does “more inclusive” mean? The Northern California Conference uses this term in their literature, without explaining what it really means.

@David Read, Can ET or Advindicate get an interview with somebody who actually knows, first hand, what went on with this AAA accreditation? What “deals” were made and by whom, why, and with what “strings” attached?

La Sierra University gets 3-year AAA Accreditation
@Sean Pitman, I agree with the lack of transparency at LLU and virtually anywhere in our SDA system. The hiding behind closed doors is rampant, not only at LLU, but on the Conference level, Union, and even the GC. Try to ask anybody a really specific question. All you get is either nothing or another set of vague responses. Try it some time, and you will see what I mean.

Any insiders know WHY this happened? Was it part of a “deal” with AAA for accreditation?
