Sean Pitman to speak at Loma Linda University

  1. I am surprised that Loma Linda University is allowing this since LLU is pretty tightly controlled by the liberals. LLU brings in all kinds of non-Adventist speakers. It seems to me that they would rather have a non-SDA speaker rather than a conservative SDA. Just my observation. Good luck Sean.

I also am glad Sean is speaking at Loma Linda. But, it it for a Sabbath School class? Paul’s class?

  3. There are both concervative and liberal groups at LLU and both have access to their own forums on campus. Dr. Paul Giem’s class has been around for quite a while and has long presented evidence in support of the Adventist position on origins.

  4. I like the idea of SDAs coming out and admitting to the fact that I.D. is science – even if evolutionism is just bad religion.

If you monitor the Discovery Institute you will find that a number of evolutionists (some Theistic Evolutionists as well) are promoting I.D. as well as Christians. About the only people with a real “cause” to uphold in opposing I.D. – are atheists.

But that is to be expected given their religious convictions on the doctrine about there being “no god”.

  5. I think I might show up at this grand event. I’m not sure whether to be quiet or boisterous. Might be a good chance to meet Paul, Sean, Shane, David, and others. Then again, it might be more fun to silently observe them as they wonder just who in the crowd might be the evil one.

Are you the “evil one” you speak of? Or will there be others such as Erv Taylor, Dr. Bradley, Dr.Grismer, etc?
