Comment on La Sierra students criticize core classes by Ron Stone M.D..

D. Fender: Ron, Geraty may have been a leader in this rebellion, but he was not alone then, and his friends are still there, and their evil has come to fruition now. There is only ONE solution if the church is going to keep LSU, that is CLEAN HOUSE. I have said before, and I say it again, the problems at LSU are not with just the biology department, there are problems with the religion department too. Our fundamental belief on creation and origins is not the only FB under attack at LSU. There seems to be a number of professors who believe in gay marriage like Geraty, and continue to push that issue. Then there are the FB’s on 1844, the Heavenly Sanctuary, etc, which I’m sure have few followers at LSU. IT IS TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE AND START OVER AT LSU, or close it altogether.

LSU needed to start “cleaning house” way back when Fritz Guy was the head honcho. Instead, the LSU Board selects an even worse “guy” Geraty to replace Guy, and then, even though I thought impossible, an even worse character, Randall Wisbey!

How “low” can LSU go? Well?!

Shane Hilde: It is an old story, but the reason I published it was to demonstrate that LSU has had a history of undermining church beliefs and that students have tried in vain to change things. We had published the petition a while back, last year I think, and just recently one of our readers sent me the article PE had done. I wrote PE and asked if they would put it online. It just gives context to the controversy.

I agree with you Shane. This “story” is very old and the context of how long this travesty has been growing without correction IS very relevant to our website.

Bob Pickle: Why did the PE article say that Geraty is president of LSU?

He was President before Wisbey.

BobRyan: Defender makes a good point.Historically – no SDA biology department has ever run rogue against the denomination in promoting evolutionism “at all costs” without first having the support of the religion department. It is a rule that has held true at LSU in triplicate.in Christ,Bob

Your exactly correct, Bob. Look at the LSU Religion Dept. to see one major reason WHY we have a problem in the Bio Dept.

Notice also how the so-called “religious” people are nowhere to be seen or heard anywhere, including this website, to either support us or support the evolutionists!

How’s about Fritz and his cronies joining the conversation to explain why they have been so quiet, silent, and invisible. The so-called “watchmen” of our SDA faith need to come out of their slumber and open their eyes to reality!

This is the typical garbage that has been coming out of PUC for many years. People wonder why our colleges are losing students, despite the fact that we take more and more non-SDAs each year.

My Goal for La Sierra University

The reason the LaSierra situation has gone uncorrected so long is that most of our administrators have exactly the sort of political instincts that Dan Jackson has. They are politicians and consensus builders; they want to keep the peace and make the trains run on time. But the circumstances call for men of principle, hard men who are willing to stand for the right “though the heavens fall,” i.e., regardless who is offended and loudly complains.

Dave, I agree with you. Jackson’s trying to play on “both teams” is not going to go well for him.

Unfortunately, politics is the “SOP” of many of our SDA officials, Jackson being just one. “Political instincts” are the rule, instead of actually doing what is “right” according to what we know in God’s Word.

Bradley, Beach and Kaatz retain attorney

Shane Hilde: Think big fish: LSU or the Seventh-day Adventist Church.Graham might not have followed procedure with these men, but I don’t know what the procedure is. I’ve read what the process is in the faculty handbook, but I don’t know if that applies to administrative positions which are at will employees. If it does apply to them, then it appears the process was not followed.

Trustees book says, in 6,9,F, that the Trustes may “discontinue” virtually anyone working at the university.

Does that mean to “fire” or to “force their resignation? Seems like it does.
