Comment on World Church moves to advance statements regarding creation by Nathan.
I will never agree. As SDA Christians or any true follower of Jesus Christ, we are called to STAND APART-
Rom 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” The will of God does not include undermining His word to fit man’s postulations or absurd theories.
Any true believer is mocked and scorned for their belief in a young earth and belief in a literal 7 day creation week. Its happened to me before and more than once. I have faith in my God that He created this universe in SEVEN literal 24 hour days. Exodus Ch 20 vs 11 backs that up too, but I guess since you dont have to take the Genesis account of creation literally, I suppose you can throw the 10 commandments out as well.
Evolution is nothing but a delusion of Satan. Anyone who believes evolution and “claims” to be a true follower of Christ is accepting apostasy as clearly stated in 2 Timothy ch 3.

World Church moves to advance statements regarding creation
@Nathan: Sorry my post got cut off, this was the rest of that first paragraph.
I will never agree that evolution and the Genesis account on creation can somehow coexist together, its man’s word(inspired by Satanic agencies) or God’s word.
It’s called ‘nailing your colours to the mast of a sinking ship’. (Quote)
Are you implying that the SDA church is sinking?
Remember, there is a difference between voted statement documents and changes to the fundamental beliefs. This is, as far as I can see so far, only one of the documents of affirmation, and would not change the fundamental beliefs. I do believe that the fundamental belief #6 on creation should have substantially tightened wording (as I called for min my recent article). Now is the time to begin that process. (Quote)
Exactly, the GC needs to vote on a change of FB #6 to read as such “…the seven days of creation were literal[,] 24-hour days forming a literal week, and that the Flood was global in nature.†Statements do not mean anything, when are these statements going to turn into action by the GC? That is what I want to know. My prayer is that this conference session votes on such a change to FB #6.

The Reptile King
I have misquoted you (Dr. Geraty) in the flying planes statement and I do sincerely apologize for my misquote.
The Reptile King
@Sean Pitman: Not only does Geraty “subscribes to theistic evolutionism as the true model of origins:” He also states that those opposed to this storytelling of origins (conservative Adventism)are “the type that fly planes into buildings”. Scary that this man was the president of an Adventist Insitution. With this kind of thinking, I wonder if he would have locked up EGW and the rest of the pioneers in Gitmo if they were alive today?
Adventist kid: BobRyan,You contribute in quite a number of places. I noticed your edits on wikipedia. May I suggest that you go read the responses of others to your verbose essays on that site?Young Earth Creationism is unscientific. That is all there is to it. So either Adventism and Science are mutually exclusive (that can’t be!) or we can both believe in Science (evolution), and the bible while being Adventist. I take the second option.
Could you share the wikipedia link with us if possible, thanks.
LSU student: ‘Apostates or Apostles’?
Seems to me that Dr. Bradley hardly represents a true follower of Christ, aside from his rather “colorful” language which by the way lost him all due credibility as a “Christian”. Furthermore Dr. Bradley contradicts himself in his own quotes, which I found to be rather disturbing. Hey, I guess lying seems to be the thing to do these days to cover ones own dissent into apostasy and blatant lack of trust in God’s word.
At least be honest with yourself and others if you dont believe in something, isnt that the Christian thing to do?
Sadly, Dr. Bradley lost all my trust and faith in him as a professor of Adventist higher education.
