“There goes the neighborhood!” Just got word Jerry Page has been elected Ministerial Secretary of the GC. The only leader in the Pacific Union Conference who has the backbone [edit] is leaving.

Who will replace him? [edit]

Elder Ted Wilson is Our New General Conference President

After reading some of these encouraging remarks regarding Ted Wilson, there’s a flicker of hope growing. Our substitue teacher in Sabbath School last week referred to Ted Wilson as “being of GREAT concern to her” she said “his views were very troubling”.As I’m not familiar at all with Elder Wilson, my heart sank. But I feel a little wiser now and will in deed be praying to see God and the Holy Spirit at work with this man.Hopefully he’s the one God will use to steer the ship “Home”; if so, he’ll need our prayers and support. We know from prophecy what that means. As Jesus said “these things must come to pass…..”

Bobbie, You’re going to hear a lot of “concerns” regarding Pastor Wilson. He is a bible-believing SDA, as far as I know, and is and will be hated by the liberal, secular humanists within our Church. Just look at AT and Spectrum. Mainly negative, fear-mongering tactics by both the editorial staff and posters.

Don’t let that discourage you. God is and will be leading his Church, and we are seeing evidence of this. However, we all have a part to play, which is why we have this website. God works through people, usually, and not necessarily by Himself. This, also, is horrifying to liberals, as they do not have the “numbers” to counter those that believe in God’d Word.

Thus, the liberals say we ought to “lay off” and “shut up.” Well, I will not. How about others?!

A relevant quote from recent Wilson interview:Knott: Say a word to those in the church who wonder if leadership can make a difference right now. What do you think might change in the coming years through your ministry and that of others?Wilson: Well, I have no illusions that I will effect change in a huge way myself. Only the Holy Spirit is going to do that…

The Holy Spirit usually works through and with people who follow him. I hope Wilson is truly one of those people.

Pacific Union College Encouraging Homosexual Marriage?
This is the typical garbage that has been coming out of PUC for many years. People wonder why our colleges are losing students, despite the fact that we take more and more non-SDAs each year.

My Goal for La Sierra University

The reason the LaSierra situation has gone uncorrected so long is that most of our administrators have exactly the sort of political instincts that Dan Jackson has. They are politicians and consensus builders; they want to keep the peace and make the trains run on time. But the circumstances call for men of principle, hard men who are willing to stand for the right “though the heavens fall,” i.e., regardless who is offended and loudly complains.

Dave, I agree with you. Jackson’s trying to play on “both teams” is not going to go well for him.

Unfortunately, politics is the “SOP” of many of our SDA officials, Jackson being just one. “Political instincts” are the rule, instead of actually doing what is “right” according to what we know in God’s Word.

Bradley, Beach and Kaatz retain attorney

Shane Hilde: Think big fish: LSU or the Seventh-day Adventist Church.Graham might not have followed procedure with these men, but I don’t know what the procedure is. I’ve read what the process is in the faculty handbook, but I don’t know if that applies to administrative positions which are at will employees. If it does apply to them, then it appears the process was not followed.

Trustees book says, in 6,9,F, that the Trustes may “discontinue” virtually anyone working at the university.

Does that mean to “fire” or to “force their resignation? Seems like it does.
