Comment on A little-known history about Belief 6 by John Turner.

Bob Ryan,

I’ve been looking for a copy of the article you quoted from Fritz Guy entitled Realities for Adventist Theology in the 21st Century, but I haven’t been able to find it online. Do you have a reference for an online version of the article?

Thanks.

The Metamorphosis of La Sierra University: an eye-witness account
Since this author outed so many individuals, don’t you have an ethical obligation to publish their name? After all, this person is supposedly concerned about the “political climate surrounding the issues being discussed,” yet this article is exactly the sort of thing that inflames that political climate. One of the explicitly stated goals of this website is “transparency.” Well, let’s have it.

The SECC stands for something
Glad to see Doug Batchelor is tactfully espousing the ideas that our church has clearly followed from the beginning, saying “I believe it is easier to support the truth – that God has designed only men should be ordained as pastors and elders from the New Testament, than to support the Sabbath.” After all, the Bible does say:

women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. 1 Cor 14:34-35

The New Testament clearly teaches that Doug Batchelor is upholding the principles that Ellen White advocated so strongly as the best minister our church has ever known.
