@Bill Sorensen:
We really need to speak out, Bill, after prayer and thought. How long can we tolerate profs who teach evolution as a fact? There are other matters that need correction as well.

Supreme Court Decision on Church Employment Case
@ron:
It wasn’t “sleep apnea” it was narcolepsy; there is a world of difference between these unfortunate afflictions.

While it may not be within the purview of this blog certainly there are medical conditions that militate against persons holding certain jobs. A narcoleptic can fall asleep without any warning.

Would you want a bus driver who is a narcoleptic? Could it be that the person involved in the legal challenge was expected to be alert at all times?

Supreme Court Decision on Church Employment Case
A good decision. I’m not an attorney but there were public comments that the decision was a very narrow one. Can anyone comment on that aspect or was it merely wishful thinking that the decision was narrow?

Supreme Court Decision on Church Employment Case
I wonder how many of us have read the Americans with Disabilities Act? Is it job killing and extreme in some areas? Has it driven out of business small companies who could not afford the requirements imposed on them by the Bureaucracy?
Anyone have answers to these questions? Before I accept lock, stock and barrel legislation from Congress I want to know its implications.

It’s a book I’ll never buy nor read. Why take time to read concoctions of a couple who have apparently rejected Genesis 1 and 2.

Thanks for making us aware of error.

Changing the Wording of Adventist Fundamental Belief #6 on Creation
It is most unfortunate that there are those in “high places” who place so little credence in a plain reading of Scripture and have influence on young minds.

Would it not be appropriate to pray that such individuals, unless they accept the plainly stated Scriptures, be replaced by those who do?

This should not be interpreted as a vendetta but an effort to insure that thought leaders in various leadership positions hold to Biblical doctrine.

Dr. Ariel Roth’s Creation Lectures for Teachers
I knew Ariel when he was pursuing his PhD and have followed him thru the years. His books are an excellent resource.

La Sierra University Looking for New Biology Professor
Some SDA colleges and Universities when advertising specify SDA and belief in short time Creation. Too bad La Sierra would even consider a person not an SDA. [edit]

A New Endowment Program for Adventist Education
I would find it easier to donate to such an endowment if there were assurance that evolution will not be taught as a fact and that Bible classes will follow the true SDA beliefs. Will there be such an assurance?
