I am just quoting from memory, but all faithful SDA’s know that E.G.White said that what the Church needs is a true revival of faith and holiness and that revival will come in answer to prayer and the study od the books of Daniel and Revelation. Elsewhere she said that we should not remove the old land marks of prophecy. May someone, please, provide the appropriate and accurate quotations. If this is what Elder Wilson wants to do with the help of God, we must like Hur and Aaron keep his hands up until complete victory over Amalek!  

Cuniah, We’ve got lots more out here in California besides Amalek to worry about. A whole “tribe” of liberals which has infiltrated our SDA Church while the “watchmen” have been asleep for decades!

They will know we are Christians by our love?  (Quote)

Janelle, I absolutely agree with you, which is why Romans 13:10 is so applicable where it says that “love is the fulfilling of the law.” In other words, we’ll be known by our love to God and our fellow man, which will be dispersed throughout all of our acts in obedience. It is isn’t a mere formalism or legalism. It is the true and Everlasting Gospel, where God writes His law on our hearts, and then our obedience becomes just the outworking of God’s will in our lives. (But, it is obedience nonetheless).

While I realize there is lessons to learn from the past;righteousness by faith is not found in 1888 or 1901; it is found in the merits of Jesus Christ, found only in the Word of God. Those who profess righteousness by faith In Christ and yet deny Him by their actions will be found wanting. It may be helpful to study church history in some regards; but over and over I see persons and sub-groups in Adventism looking back in history for real answers and not focusing on God’s Word and the SOP. The 1888 MSC comes to mind.

It is more helpful to look back and see how God has led the Adventist prophetic movement and we can have confidence in the pillars of faith becoming sanctified through obedience to the Word of God:

John 17:17 Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth.

John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

“I heard those clothed with the armor speak forth the truth with great power. It had effect. Many had been bound; some wives by their husbands, and some children by their parents. The honest who had been prevented from hearing the truth now eagerly laid hold upon it. All fear of their relatives was gone, and the truth alone was exalted to them. They had been hungering and thirsting for truth; it was dearer and more precious than life. I asked what had made this great change. An angel answered, “It is the latter rain, the refreshing from the presence of the Lord, the loud cry of the third angel.” {CET 177.2}

Many Backsliders Will Return.–When the storm of persecution really breaks upon us, the true sheep will hear the true Shepherd’s voice. Self-denying efforts will be put forth to save the lost, and many who have strayed from the fold will come back to follow the great Shepherd. The Loud Cry.–During the loud cry, the church, aided by the providential interpositions of her exalted Lord, will diffuse the knowledge of salvation so abundantly that light will be communicated to every city and town. The earth will be filled with the knowledge of salvation. So abundantly will the renewing Spirit of God have crowned with success the intensely active agencies, that the light of present truth will be seen flashing everywhere.–Review and Herald, Oct. 13, 1904. {Ev 694.1}

“None are condemned until they have had the light and have seen the obligation of the fourth commandment. But when the decree shall go forth enforcing the counterfeit sabbath, and the loud cry of the third angel shall warn men against the worship of the beast and his image, the line will be clearly drawn between the false and the true. Then those who still continue in transgression will receive the mark of the beast.” –Ev 234, 235 (1899). {LDE 225.4}

We have been told that the church will appear as about to fall, but praise God it doesn’t, it goes through to the end.In his Sabbath address to the GC last month, President Wilson stated that we need to revisit the events surrounding the 1901 General Conference, specifically referring to unbelief in the church having prevented the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.Our energies are better spent supporting our leaders who are focusing on understanding that most precious message of righteousness by receiving the faith of Jesus.That message will combine with those of all three angels to not only revitalize our church, but lighten the entire earth with the glory of God.

Elder Ted Wilson is the man who I believe will help put God’s church more solidly upon the platform of undivided, unadulterated, pure truth of God’s Holy Word. Many Adventist ministries such as It Is Written are in verity taking the 3 angels messages to the world even aside from the apostasy Ellen White said would come and is here now. A position of tearing down God’s true church will surely result in gross darkness for the participant.

“I was shown that if God’s people make no efforts on their part, but wait for the refreshing to come upon them and remove their wrongs and correct their errors; if they depend upon that to cleanse them from filthiness of the flesh and spirit, and fit them to engage in the loud cry of the third angel, they will be found wanting. The refreshing or power of God comes only on those who have prepared themselves for it by doing the work which God bids them, namely, cleansing themselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” {CD 33.3}

However, not doing what we should in the way we should is different than purposely and blatantly opposing our biblical beliefs, which we see going on at LSU and other places.

WE have to let God turn the ship aright – and that is going to be painful for evolutionists, but also to a number of other groups trying to water down the bible and replace doctrine with notions of “political correctness” regarding life-styles etc. It will also be uncomfortable for those who think the Bible is NOT to be held up as “the Word of God” and that inspiration of prophets does not actually work.

The benefit of someone like Elder Wilson is that there is a vocal “voice” for reformation that is sounding at the top. The sleeping saints need to wake-up stand-up and be counted. God will make a short work of this with or without you – so choose “with”.

As a church, we were specifically instructed to NOT concentrate our resources in small areas, but be as leaven that mingles with all the flour. Yet, in spite of this, we have our Adventist ghettos located in various cities throughout the country and throughout the world (not to step on any toes here, but for instance, Loma Linda).

In addition, we have been instructed to work the cities from rural outposts, yet where do you see this instruction being followed? (It is very rarely followed!)

I think emergency medicine is great, and indeed it is irreplaceable in a trauma situation. Yet, as a church, we have invaluable light on treatments that could be given for a fraction of the cost to treat the poor and sick, and in the mean-time be a real light that shines in this darkness of a sin-filled world (lifestyle treatments, and natural treatments including hydrotherapy, etc.). But have we followed the instruction given to us on this? Generally NO!

Our publishing houses were intended to be a means to distribute our literature throughout the world like the “leaves of autumn” and we have several of them that are world class institutions. I would think it the mission of these places to so cover the globe with our literature that there was no place that didn’t have any. Have we done that? NO! In fact, private ministry’s (for instance Light Bearer’s Ministry, in Oregon) have taken it upon themselves to publish literature by the shipping container full, and ship it to places around the world at no cost at all to the receiver. It is all accomplished by people supporting that ministry (If you really want to help God’s work move forward, support them!!!!). So, why haven’t our established publishing houses done the same?

We have a work (throughout the Church) that is being administered by ‘businessmen’ and while there is the need for accountability, there is also the need for a Holy vision and sacrifice. Mrs. White said something to the effect that our work begun in sacrifice, will also end in sacrifice. If we really want to see Jesus come, we all need to do our own part, and yes, this may include significant self-sacrifice. Remembering the poor widow and her two mites, how many of us have given of our dire want, and not merely of our abundance?

Going back to Pastor Wilson. I think it is important to proceed with prayer seeking a revival, but we also need to be obedient to the instruction that has already been given to us. If we aren’t obedient to what has already been told us, we can have no expectation of new light, or new outpourings of God’s Spirit.

God requires us to follow the light already given, and as a church, we are not doing that. No revival will come without having a reformation first. To expect anything less is mere folly.

Thanks be to our God for the election of Elder Wilson who is a giant to stand for the right though the heavens
may fall. God has selected him to lead the church in its final phases and in confirming our beliefs in the message
of righteousness by faith, and the pillars of our church with the support and guidance of the spirit of prophesy. To attack our church and its leaders is to attack God himself and His eternal wisdom.
