How should the GC handle LSU? Do we close …

Comment on WASC Team Recommends Formal Notice of Concern Regarding LSU by Ken Lytle.

How should the GC handle LSU? Do we close the school and sell the property or just sell it to LSU (if they have the money)? The GC should dissolve the current board and dismiss all the the admin, faculty, and staff at the end of the year and restart it next school year.

Panda’s Thumb: ‘SDAs are split over evolution’
@ Sean Pitman – I would be VERY interested in attending an Adventist debate on creation vs. evolution. You should see if Ted Wilson would be willing to join your debate team.

For real education reform, take a cue from the Adventists
This is good PR for our Church, but take a moment and think about where we could be as a Church and school system if we were truly on track with God’s plan for our ministries. We are light years behind in the “blue prints” God has given us. Let’s keep pressing forward! [edit]

“Don’t go backwards to interpret Genesis as allegorical or symbolic”
I can’t wait to see how the good Lord leads His Church over the next three years. Remember… all changes to our fundamental beliefs need to be submitted to the GC two years before the next GC Session. Let’s pray that our leaders will truly allow the Holy Spirit to guide. It looks like we are about to have a “shaky” ride.

“I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen, and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this is what will cause a shaking among God’s people.” {CET 176.1}

Joe Cooper: History and Importance of LSU conflict over “Evolution”
I know that a march is a little on the extreme side, but what can we do to make sure our young people are not taught lies in our Adventist schools. God will hold us accountable in the end if we stand by and do nothing. Why must we wait years to right a wrong when the wrong is so open and public. We (the Church) need to be able to act fast when open rebellion comes into light. Marching may not be the answer, but it sure worked to help bring about desegregation in America.

Joe Cooper: History and Importance of LSU conflict over “Evolution”
Can we assemble a very large group of “solid Adventists” to protest this open rebellion? (((march on LSU… signs and all))) The 2010-2011 school year should not begin with the current [professors] in place. We need school administrators and professors who believe and support our “true Biblical/Adventist belief” (six literal days) when it comes to the teaching of science and faith. I would be willing to fly to Southern CA to march for the truth of God. We could let the LSU administration know about it in advance and also let them know that we will be contacting the local media for coverage. Our Adventist young people need real leaders to stand up for Jesus and His wonderful truth.
