Is this a biology class or a philosophy class? I do not remember our biology teachers having the time to discuss philosophy.
Maybe this professor is bored with teaching biology? Students are in class precious few minutes to spend an entire class defining “university and university students” and other philosophical issues.
Look how BORED and RESTLESS the students are as he talks past them to whomever he thinks he is teaching. Students are to be engaged from the first class onward! Today’s students do not like “talking heads.” Are the student allowed to speak?
I would get rid of this teacher for wasting biology instruction time; and for not engaging students in learning! This is a very old fashion, boring, know-it-all type teacher which you will not find in public universities these days.
I don’t think these teachers could get hired at public universities. Boring, boring . . . wow . . . parents pay for this? Public university students would be too challenging for these teachers.

Some of our brightest lights will go out. Maybe faith and pride in the human mind is the cause? Time will tell if God can create in 6 days as we watch him recreate the new heavens and the new earth. Then the debate will be ended once and for all. Why don’t these folks just form a new denomination like the Sunday folks have done many times, instead of sticking in a church with which they do not agree and then pulling at the doctrines like taffy? I just don’t understand . . .

May be an attempt to blow the opposition away with words; only the persistent and patient will stick around to push for action. Here is the patience of the saints . . .
I hope the push continues to “evolve” the science department into truth educators. With the revelation of the climate change scientists’ actions/methods, we have a right to probe/question the scientific community’s collusion regarding evolution. And, therefore, every right to insist that creation science be taught.

Professors are collecting money from SDA sources.
Since the issue has been brought to “light,” it appears to me to be a lack of integrity that allows the professors to say to the SDA sources, “Up yours . . . and keep my checks coming.”
I found that public school administrators who did not discipline “up yours” type of teachers were, in fact, in agreement with the teacher; using the teacher as a shield; while washing hands of responsibility.
Only with parents’ push would things change . . . and there were many parent pushes in my 30 years of public school teaching. I always encouraged parents to be involved in their student’s education because I saw the quality of education improve with “light” and “parents’ push.”
Parents needed to be involved earlier. “Trust me with your child; send us money; and go away” is the dream world for school administrators and teachers. “Inspect what I am teaching your child and inspect our school environment” is school administrator’s and teacher’s nightmare.
Quality takes hard work and is painful for parents, administrators, and teachers . . . with the result of the students benefitting from the hard work and pain. I have seen the students benefitting over and over again through the years. Hummm, almost like “no pain; no gain.”
Thank you parents and church members for your time spent in this worthy cause.
